About This Blog
On January 12, I began a training program with the Atlanta Track Club.
This particular program that I entered is one of the Women’s on the Move Training Series. To conclude the program, we will run the Atlanta Women’s 5k. The group runs are on Tuesday nights. Beginners and Intermediate are welcome to join the group.
Why am I doing this training program?
I want to be a runner. I’ve always wanted to be a fit person. I’ve never been that person. I see people running along sidewalks and think to myself, “Man, I wish I could do that.” Well, I’m finally taking the bull by the horns and doing it. I’m becoming that person. I’m becoming a runner.
What’s on this blog?
Here, I will track my progress. You’ll have first hand information to the journey through the training series, accounts of each run, and all the wonderful, useful information that I learn on the way.
A new runner has a million questions about what to do, why do it, and how to do it. I’m answering those questions. I have them too! Anyone who has ever wanted to be good at something wants to know the facts about it.
I’ve been baffled by the websites I’ve found dedicated to running. I’ve questioned whether I can trust them. I get conflicting viewpoints. Hopefully, my blog can answer those questions for you.
Who should read this?
Anyone who’s interested in learning how to be a runner. Anyone who is already a runner and wants to know more.
